World AIDS Day 2011

Shared from http://www.sophiastjames.com

Today is World AIDS Day.  A day we all should remember.  Remember those who have fallen to AIDS, remember the ones who are suffering from HIV/AIDS right now.  It’s not only the patients, but the loved ones, friends, and families of the those with HIV/AIDS.

It is estimated that more than a million people in the US live with HIV and more than half a million had their lives claimed by AIDS.

It is important to know your status.  It’s time WE stop being shy and/or embarrassed to discuss our sex lives with our partners.  It’s time to start caring enough about those we share our most intimate lives with.  There are many places to get tested, and most do not charge, but if they do it is a low cost fee.  Below is a list of places in the Portland, OR, USA area.  Directly below that are listings where you can look up a location in your area.
